Fixed Prosthetics - Fixed Bridges and Implants
The standard of care for replacing missing teeth is
Implant Dentistry.
The use of implants has many advantages over other techniques,
including:
- Preservation of the supporting bone
- Avoids cutting down of adjacent teethEasier to keep clean
- Well documented improved long term prognosis
Replacing missing teeth with fixed bridges involves
preparing adjacent teeth for crowns that will hold the prosthetic
replacement teeth.
Fixed bridges are still utilized in many cases, especially
where teeth adjacent to the missing teeth are in need of major
restoration (crowns).
Removable Prosthetics - Complete and Partial Dentures
Complete Dentures
A properly fabricated denture will go a long way toward providing a
great smile, good function and speech.
We make your denture to be as retentive as possible and as much as
possible, preserve the supporting bone.
Often, in the case where teeth have been missing for a long time,
retention of a complete denture may benefit from the incorporation of
dental implants where retention is otherwise difficult to achieve.
Partial Dentures
Partial dentures are an economical method for replacing missing teeth. We can
often make your partial denture while minimizing the amount of metal that shows;
sometimes making them invisible.
